HGMI
Hungarian Gypsy Mission International
The HGMI (Hungarian Gypsy Missions International) is one of the largest mission’s organisations in Europe and employs over 1000 people. They deliver 6000 meals a day and provide community care to 4500 homes a day. They also run pre-schools and day nurseries on behalf of the Government. At the beginning of 2019. The Hungarian government also asked them to be the Educational Provider for 3 Roma High Schools. Ian has introduced them to Prepare International to assist with this.
Ian mentors Albert Durko the CEO of the Hungarian Gypsy Mission International (HGMI), personally and also in the organisational development of the HGMI. Looking at the needs of the organisation, refining their vision and actioning this. Making the NGO & Missions endeavours one unit to deliver ‘The Kingdom.’
One of the outcomes of Ian’s work with the HGMI is the development of a leadership program to create community transformers. They are developing leaders for their church planting and community transformation vision, over the next 10 years. This is a long-term project, but the impact will be great!
