Back in November we had the pleasure of hosting Nenad & Vesna Radeka from Novi Sad, Serbia. I’ve known them for 20 years and I just love how their church has become a Community Transformational Space. Bringing the Kingdom of God into commercial environments.
Nenad & Vesna are the leaders of Nexus Church which recently completed a new building to hold their church, but it’s more than a space for services! It includes a space for community events, a business center, housing for short-term mission teams, a rental space for local ministries and a soft play business Nexus Play. A profit making business which funds some of their ministries, allows them to employ staff and bless people in their community. Watch the video where Nenad explains more about Nexus Play .
In addition to these activities, Vesna also founded a Pregnancy Care Center A Place for Me in 2004. Their mission is to affirm LIFE through providing confidential and non-judgmental assistance in a caring and supportive environment to all who are facing unexpected pregnancies, dealing with pregnancy losses or exploring sexual integrity as a lifestyle. Through education, practical help, love and encouragement they want to make abortion an unthinkable option. This led them to start building the Nest Maternity Home with the aim to minister Christ’s love and grace and provide different opportunities for pregnant women and their children in a safe and stable home environment, equipping them with the tools and resources that they need to thrive.
