It felt so good, after two years of no ministry travelling, to be back teaching together for the weekend.
It was an absolute privilege to be in Thisted, Northern Denmark with our longterm friends Wayne and Gwenda Simmonds who head up Transformational Bible Schools across Europe. We have known this couple for at least 30 years and Ian gives mentoring to them and brings some coaching to their team.
TBS offer a programme in discipleship and how to be transformational. Due to Covid they are also offering courses online which is growing in popularity. It is encouraging to see the growth of this organisation, with new countries opening up.
One of the attendees was Mariuzs Ungur from Oradea, Romania. He shared some of the initial impact of transformational school teaching. Not one single church or organisation can transform a city it depends on collaboration with other kingdom minded people.
7 pastors now meet on a regular basis to pray for Oradea and strategise on how they can transform the city. It was so encouraging to hear this.
The weekend was for their team and partners to gather together for training on being transformational and sharing of ideas. Judith brought some very practical teaching on how we bring influence to our neighbours, using creative ideas by taking the fear out of evangelism and using the gifts and personality that God has given us. This seemed to be so helpful.
The feedback was very positive giving the attendees plenty to take home and implement. Ian focussed on personal transformation of our inner world. Without transformed people we can’t become transformers.
We know that our input into TBS will be ongoing, working together with a common purpose to bring transformation to our societies is our goal.
